I am full.  Full of Enchiladas that is.  I actually can't even think straight. Tonight we ate at a staple in New Brighton--Adobe Blues.  For those of you who are not familiar with it (and there may still be a few of you out there) Adobe Blues is located past the ferry and just a little before Snug Harbor off of Richmond Terrace at 63 Lafayette Avenue.  It serves southwestern food and boasts a humungous beer list--which is what appealed to us some years back when a hangover wasn ...


Opening Day at the Carousel for All Children!

Be one of the first to take a ride on The World's Finest Classic Victorian Carousel.  This year marks the Carousel's 10th anniversary and boy are they having a party!  This Saturday, May 1st from 12:00-5:00 the Greenbelt is hosting a Grand Opening Day complete with face-painting, a wildflower activities, field games, the Adopt-A-Pet program and something new this year---a Monkey Bridge hosted by the Boy Scouts of America.

Saturday, May 1 through Sunday, May 2 - Sakura Matsuri 2010--at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens

Participate in New York City's "rite of spring" at Sakura Matsuri, a phenomenal weekend celebrating Japanese culture with over 60 events and performances. Enjoy contemporary and traditional Japanese music and dance, taiko drumming, ikebana flower arranging, Japanese DJs, presentations on the art of manga, tea ceremonies, and workshops for all ages.
